Today, and continuing through July, we honor the 150th birthday of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune by inviting you to share how your life has been impacted Because of Bethune... Share your reflections, visit her historic sites in DC, or consider making a gift in honor of her legacy.

NCNW - The North Shore Section

The National Coalition of Negro Women (NCNW) was founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, an influential educator and activist, and for more than fifty years, the iconic Dr. Dorothy Height was president of NCNW.

On Saturday June 7, 2025, 41 dynamic leaders from the North Shore communities of  Illinois, will hold its Chartering Celebration of NCNW The North Shore Section.

The North Shore section is dedicated to uplifting communities through outreach and advocacy that make  significant impact.
